Accused, an 18 year old first offender, was convicted of robbery and sentenced to 2 years and 24 strokes under the Act, The amount stolen was Shs. 45/70.
Held: “Although the amount stolen did not exceed Shs. 100/- and the appellant was a first offender, never the less there were no special reasons.” The sentence imposed by the trial court was correct.
