Question 2: Why do you want to work as a
Land Officer II?
Answer:
“I want to work as a Land Officer II
because I am interested in contributing to the proper administration,
management, and sustainable use of land in Tanzania.
Land is essential for housing,
agriculture, investment, infrastructure, and other economic activities.
However, land-related challenges such as boundary disputes, land-use conflicts,
unplanned settlements, and inadequate land records can affect individuals and
communities.
As a Land Officer, I would like to
contribute to addressing these challenges by helping to maintain accurate land
records, providing appropriate land administration services, supporting
land-use planning, and advising the public on land matters within my
responsibilities.
I am also attracted to public service
because it gives me an opportunity to serve the community fairly,
professionally, and without discrimination.”
Question 3: Mention and explain five
qualities of a good Land Officer.
Answer:
“A good Land Officer should possess the
following five qualities:
1. Integrity: A Land Officer must be
honest and must not engage in bribery, corruption, fraud, or manipulation of
land records.
2. Knowledge of land laws: The officer
should understand the laws, regulations, and procedures governing land
administration in Tanzania to ensure that decisions are lawful.
3. Accuracy and attention to detail: Land
matters involve boundaries, ownership records, measurements, and official
documents. Accuracy helps prevent errors and unnecessary disputes.
4. Good communication skills: The officer
must communicate clearly with landowners, community members, public officials,
and other professionals, including when explaining procedures or resolving
misunderstandings.
5. Impartiality: The officer must treat
all people fairly, without favouritism based on wealth, status, personal
relationships, or other irrelevant considerations.”
Key points to remember: Integrity, legal
knowledge, accuracy, communication, and impartiality.
