JALA, Reception clause, ouster clause.

1). (JALA) the Judicature and Application of Laws Act;

JALA is an act which was enacted in 1961 and revised 2002 it declares jurisdiction of the High Court and Subordinate Courts. It is an Act to apply and recognize certain laws e.g. certain England Acts to apply locally.

2). Reception Clause; 

Reception Clause is the Clause in Tanganyika Order in Council that empowers our Courts to apply England Laws which were enforced in England before 22nd July 1920.

3). Ouster clause;

An Ouster Clause refers the provision in the Act/Law that oust the jurisdiction of Courts to determine or try matters relating to that Act or Law.
